R.E.S.I.D.U.S. [Repercusiones Entrelazadas de Superficie e Invisibles de los Desechos Urbanos y relaves mineroS (Interconnected Surface and Invisible Repercussions of Urban Waste and Mining Tailings)] explores the socio-environmental impact, as well as the links between mining waste and urban landfills in the Peruvian basin of Lake Titicaca. Its methodology is both inter- and transdisciplinary. Through an art-science approach, the project aims to reconcile scientific challenges with the Andean worldview in order to promote public engagement with the knowledge produced. The project is the result of a partnership between Géosciences Environnement Toulouse, Géosciences Rennes, HSM Montpellier, and the ISPEMI team at the National University of the Altiplano.
